Moving jobs to be working in the CBD and sadly the VFR is not so comfortable when used on a daily basis. Would love to be able to do a swap for a more comfortable commuter bike, either of similar value or maybe with a bit of cash?

Looking for something 600cc or under, would like good fuel economy and 60hp plus if possible. Had a brief look on TM, found a GPZ500, might also go for a gs500 (though possibly out of price range), er5n, honda cb1 / cb400, honda bros 400 or a gb400.
Though, would prefer a bike with a screen for highway speeds.

The VFR

35000kms (pretty sure it hasn't been wound back too, front forks original paint, the lack of stone chips on em suggests it)
Rare type 7 fairings, little bit of gravel rash each side. Have two tanks for it (the previous owner repainted the original, so I swapped it for one of the correct colour but with a dent in it, and another plain black one with white decals and no dents).
Stiffer front fork springs, front adjustable preload and damping, stock rear suspension with adjustable preload and damping
Modified exhaust (sounds good), HRC CDI and derestrictor, has been rejetted but carbs not balanced.
New tyres aroud 30000kms, gpra10's front and rear (prev owner)
valve clearances done 31000kms, just after this oil and filter, coolant flushed, replaced rear master cylinder and new rear brake pads
front wheel bearings replaced 33000kms, new horn also (old was getting a little sick). Comes with the original front screen and a dark tint aftermarket one.
Also have a few random spare bits with it
Can also come with a set of chinese fairings in the same colour scheme for the right price

Beautiful bike to ride, great in the turns, just not the most comfortable for the daily commute into town!:-( will be sad to see it go (not in a major hurry though ha!) The only thing I would do is get the carbs balanced (AJ at motohaus has quoted no more than 180), and possibly replace a gasket on the right rear exhaust flange.
Sorry the photos aren't the right way around :-P. 247201247202

Lol "rvf in situ'? I always wanted an RVF :-( if anyone wants to swap one for an nc30? probably not much of an improvement for my back/neck though!

I'm bike sitting. Used to have an NC21, an NC24 and an RC30. Would like another Honda V4 of my own very much. I'm a total crock too (as in all broken) and you'd think the riding position would be crippling but I actually find it comfy, if a bit tight in the legs.

RC30? spare 30-40k? I've found the nc24 and the rvf to be all right - this bike was originally a track day toy so had an aprilla shock on the back which jacked it up a bit. Since i've returned to stock it's fine on the back, just still a bit sore on the neck and a little on the wrists. The RVF I've comfortably rode for a good 1.5h without problems though

Are you wanting to come look at it? have two people coming so far. No trades yet though :-P but then again, thats what trademe is for I guess!

I'd love to come and have a look but walking from Lower Hutt is kind of a drag. :)

Just buy it sight unseen, I'll selflessly ride it down for you in time for the October NI meet at Kaitoke :)
