Visordown (http://www.visordown.com/motorcycle-top-10s/the-10-best-motorcycle-engines--ever/9854.html) have just put up their top ten engines. I think they should include the VFR750 gen 4/5, but can't decide what to take off.

The NC30 or NC45 engine should be in there somewhere.

Some good engines, but def needs a honda V4 4T in there. Good choice for number 1 though I reckon.

There's only one engine in that lot that deserves to be there,,the Honda 750/4.
Everything else is just an up graded version of something that had already been done before,,,and none of them ground breaking.

Ducati 851 what a fucking joke!
The origins of the 851 came from the 1978/9 Pantah 500cc aircooled engine, take a look on the 851 there's still provision for a kickstarter that they put on the earliest of Pantahs.
These were a revamp of a revamp, as for the rest on the list the R1 isn't special, just a nice computer designed unit even the GSXR1100 is just a prettier example of an earlier motor.

Apart from the C90 I don't think any of them should be there....and the C50 is more important than the C90.

dont totally agree with this. the nsr500 was a hell of a fucking engine. The r1 did find a new way of making a litre engine compact etc etc.
there are a few I dont agree with though.
What exactly were their criteria though? the standpoint or list of requirements will alter what engines were the 'best'
Meh. Its just an opinion piece, and opinions are like arseholes, everyone's got one. except that uptight cunt Nick Smith.

Nor my XZ400:angry:, There would be just as many arguements for the 10 worst engines.
The best / worst list of anything will always be a bone of contention. Good for winding people up though.

I don't know what Kawasaki had to do with HD's Evo engine but, truth be told, oft maligned AMF deserves credit for development of that little beauty.

Don't you know that the burning kawazuki's kept the HD development team warm at night.
