Round five was disappointing for me as far as my riding went but the challenging conditions made for some interesting times. Read all about the K2 Race Teams effort here.

whats the point???
the point is, you have learnt something about wet tyres in dry conditions....
You have learnt to enjoy the small things...
Like, having a woman like Kate who is willing AND able to help you get your shit together and get you out onto the track in no time...
you have learnt what a couple of extra psi's do to the whole bike...
should i go on?

Great read Wharfy. I was surprised at three for the pit lane start with you being one of them. Roll on Taupo!

Good to catch up with you mate. And that first turn from down the back sucks eh? Next time you bring the tea and I'll bring the bikkies for a picnic while we wait for everyone to get out of the way. Good luck for Toe-paw.

The points are very interesting what with dropping your worst round. Bit of a mixed bag alright.

Seems you are better off if you have had poor results, rather than good results - currently my worst result will be two wins and a third, or 70 of 75 points, so I have MUCH more to loose than those who haven't done quite so well and have a worst round of 40 or 50 even. Also not helped by one round being of 4 races and the rest being of 3...
Nonetheless it keeps it interesting I suppose.

Of course your nearest rivals have a worst round (so far) of about 60 points. So if you scored NO points at Taupo and one of them scored the max of 75 you would still be the champ :)
Imagine if all rounds were scored and your bike blew up in qualifying at Taupo !!! That would probably push you back to 3rd (unless they both crashed on your oil slick :) ) It removes the "hard luck" from the equation.

Now you're just showing off !!
It's all relative though - how many points are you ahead at the mo ?

Great read Wharfy, thanks for that.
What's the point? Janice asks me that after every meeting too... but we're still gonna get out there and do it, right?
