Hello All,

New to KiwiBiker, never really looked at this site before, looks pretty good. Keen to make some contacts in the biking world.

I ride a fireblade now on the road, and having a go at swinging on a sidecar which is tonnes of fun.

Blade is sweet, 1997 era version, got a bunch of bolt on bits - braided lines, alloy sprocket, headlight cover, seat cowl, K&N airbox and hi-flow airfilter, carbs rejetted, titanium akrapovik exhaust, headers, mid pipe and muffler. bout all I can remember, oh its got a bunch of plastic bits replaced with carbon fibre, exhaust mounts, undertail and battery box n stuff is all carbon fibre. hmm can't think of anything else right now. previous owner told me the head had been port polished/flowed or whatever but how can you tell eh? it definitely goes good, haven't seen another blade around like mine to see if its noticebly faster or not.. top speed seems to be higher than factory says..

keen as to piss around in the shed throwing spanners around, used to have cbr250r, then did a streetfighter cbr600f, chucked a s/side VFR swingarm and rim on, did a little exhause job, underslung which just exited under the right foot peg, twin rectangle headlights and single seat short tail. after that got a zxr750h1 I loved that bike and wish I still had it, we got on real well. i chucked braided lines and velocity stacks on the carbs and went real well aye, suprised the odd RF900 and newer GSXR600 type bikes. after that tried my hand at turbo charging, Honda CB550F with a Subaru Turbocharger hanging off the side, custom pressurebox/air intake into a single carb with a tuneable ignition computer.. it suprised me at how quick it went, it really pulled hard.. it didn't suprise me that it only lasted about 600km before the oil pressure vanished and I ran the bearings.. c'est la vie. Had a zxr400 that was quiet a lot of fun, I enjoy the smaller bikes. and now the blade. oh got a yamaha SRX600 in the shed too, good wee thumper, its loud as shit and is pretty light weight, good to throw around town and make some noise

and thats about it, before bikes I was pretty into the old cars, had a few old p6b rover v8s and couple old mercs with v8 engine conversion dreams that never got finished, and an old audi quattro tuned up a bit.

livin in Dunedin, just moved from chch so keen to find some ppl to ride with

cheers
