After much deliberation, I have made the decision to sell the one bike I thought I would hang onto for a very long time.
I always said it would take something special to get me off the Honda.
Well that bike has loomed into view.
: Tyres could possibly be changed to Bridgestone Battlax with approx 800 kms of use when sold.
: Bike has a Givi screen.
: Neptune muffler (sounds horny as)
: Ventura Pack rack.
: Rego till 19/12/2011
: WOF till 15/12/2011
The Honda is a massive two-up bike. Pic 1 shows it in all its glory three years ago almost to the day.
Its a shit load of fun bike when solo.
Pic 2 is the most recent photo of it.
HONDA IS NOW SOLD

It will be a bike for me...
In the past, I have choosen a bike for us, but now, Anne has her own good reliable Bandit, its time for a 'me' bike....
I can get into another bike now but, me being a tight bastard, I will want to see the Honda sold first. Np point in having it sitting around doing nothing, I might as well keep using, thats common sense.

I am going to pick it up on Saturday to confirm that it fits...:scooter:
...if I find to hard to give back, I may have to ask about a trade which I loathe doing but, the deal they have put together for me is pretty good.
There were a couple of bits I wanted added...

My first thought was a Sprint... but then is that just a 'me' bike?
Not much you can trade 'up' to from a 1300. If it was me I'd be going for a ZX14 maybe?

I do have one of them of my watchlist ....but your're right, I said to a caller before its not a 'me' bike...there are a couple of things I want done like, a stumpy can fitted and a pack rack but most importantly, my PR3's swapped over. Cant see all that being done on Saturday.

Nope. Stumpy can should have told ya that.
Something a bit upright I reckon so no superbikes. Maybe streetfighterish. Predator (that would def require the can change).
Tuono or Brutale? Hypermotard? I had almost discounted exotica though and thought probably Jap.
Hmm Tuono might well be close....

I didnt want to get rid of my sprint....until I saw the CB...it is all that I wanted in a bike at the time..we loaded it up with dual back packs, a tank bag and two-up. It did not even moan once, kept in in gear number 5 and just wind it on when I wanted to pass anything. I am not changing just for the sake of changing.

It has been a wonderful bike for us, not too uncomfortable from a pillion perspective, plenty of get up and go if you want it, but just as happy to pottle along. As Mark says he now wants a "me" bike, you certainly wont find me sitting on the back of the one he has his eye on that is for sure.

So we're looking for something under 1000cc, crap pillion seat, gp style muffler, must be an ER6N!!!

Yeah, I was thinking Z750 and the 2012 is freaking nice too but now that we know it's less than 1000cc I reckon it's only just less. A litre bike thats only 998cc or similar.

Yeah I thought that as well, but that rules out the z1000 and z1000sx kawis, the cb1000 is a little tame they say, so that left me with the suzuki. We'll just have to wait and see!

Well done, easy way in the end,may get less but you know what you get,and it's the change over cost that matters. My bike was valued by 3 dealers at same trade in price on similar cost of potential bike so I may have got $5-1000 more private but then lost as potential bike could be sold in meantime.
