Hey Im building my motor to stick in my frame early 70's XL125 with the single piece head I have removed that and am putting on a xr200 cdi ignition head cams etc so im going to have to run total loss ignition as my flywheel will be wrong since its a points setup but was wondering would there be any reason why i couldnt run say a RM80 ignition with a four stroke cdi??? or any other opinions regarding ignition

also what cdi's are you honda loncin etc people running?

also how bigger fuel tank will I need? I have a 3 litre one but its going to be a prick to make it fit nicely and dont want to build a custom tank for this build would 2 litres be enough?

2l will be enough for 80% of that races one might enter. Not sure how big Andrew's tank was for the GP, probably 3l but it was dry at the end of 40 min. Not prob at a kart track, can build a bigger one later.

I put something like this on my Loncin

Can't say it made any difference over the supplied cdi but the blue anodising looks cool.
