I've been a bit quiet over the winter, just tinkering away in the basement building up the Dommie.
Its been a wet day today so thought I'd put a few pics together and write up a bit of spiel for anyone interested in building an adv bike up for next to nothing.

Yeah, and here I was trying to elevate myself above all that DR/KLR stuff by owning a honda :innocent:

Just think what Honda could have done if they had continued to upgrade that design after 1988 along the same low weight - max versatility lines...

Your next job is to graft in an XR650R motor :yes::shit:

Reckon.. out of the 37 bikes that have owned me my dommie still holds the #1 spot for most fun during ownership for Adv riding and road work, take that shortcut, do that road trip, I stupidly traded it on a GPX750 Ninja and regretted it ever since.

I just used the one that was on the KTM front end, but cut about 100mm off the back of it cause they overheat if you block airflow to the head.
Not sure what would fit on the original forks, you might have to do a bit of adapting.
