At the end of October 2011, the Rusty Nuts Motorcycle Club will be running its 25th annual Grand Challenge. Over 200 of New Zealand's hardest bastards will be riding 1000 miles in 24 hours.

This campaign is to help us tell the story of this ride, the story of the Rusty Nuts and the stories of the diverse group of bikers as they travel through some of the most stunning landscapes New Zealand has to offer.

This will be the second time we've filmed this ride. The 2006 Grand Challenge was for us a filmmaking leap into the unknown. We went out with a collection of handy cams to film everything we could and ended up building a documentary out of the 100 hours of film captured that did the grand challenge justice.

We're doing this on a very short timeframe for a crowd funding campaign. If you would like to donate to our cause please follow this link:

Even if you are unable to support us directly, we would greatly appreciate it if you could forward a link to our campaign to the various social media or any production industry contacts you may have - one of these people will be the key to helping us succeed!

Thanks for reading ;)

Hey!

This is my first post on KB for ages and ages and ages!!!
Did Tim say contribute? Yes he did!

Have you done it yet? No - Why not???

I've been on the crew for a couple of weeks testing out the go-pro's mostly over the Paekakariki Hill on the way to work. I know, It's a really hard job but someone has to do it!!!

So I've learned that producing a film like this is well, really expensive - even just to cover your costs! So please please please contribute - if you are on the ride the probability is YOU will be in the DVD.

So take this opportunity to Pre-order and contribute to improve the DVD - it is in your hands!
If you have a bike related company then what are you waiting for?? Your audience are some of the most hardcore riders in the country. Get your company in the credits and you will be seen!

Hmmm... not sure,
I will ask Tim - but I know I still have about 15 hours of footage to sort through. Damn it takes a lot of time! If anyone wants to come up to levin and give me a hand ( and a kick up the bum )...

Cheers

I'll be passing through Levin on 22nd Feb (during the day even!). No time to look at footage, but quite happy to give you a kick up the arse if you like?
