Hi all

Me old man has a dinged up 2004 (maybe 2003?) Suzuki GS1200SS. Its the blue and white one quite rare so I believe.

When I say dinged up, he went smack into the front of a car, bent the forks, screwed tank (probably repairable), dent in rim etc.

So pretty much from the handle bars/tank back is mint, but forward of them is going to need some attention.
In saying that, he has found and brought whole new fairings, headlight surround etc (all black)

So without pulling it apart and finding exactly what it needs, knowing it needs forks what would this thing be worth roughly? I keep telling him to $1 reserve it on trademe but he aint keen.

From memory its only got about 3000kms on it.

Would it be worth stripping and selling for parts ?

Also has aftermarket exhaust system.

any suggestions appreciated

Alex

Agreed, recommend contacting Gary Pendleton at Dynotech, 117 Snodgrass Road, Te Puna, RD 2, Tauranga. Phone 07-552-6701, 021-974-714 or Email: dynotech@ihug.co.nz.
He has bought a whole bunch of 2nd hand parts that used to be at GP Red Baron MC so should be able to help out re parts.

Get it appraised by a reputable repairer to check the frame & if forks, wheel can be repaired.
Then make a cost comparison on selling or rebuilding it.

hello

I don't get it.

On one hand you're asking for a GS1200SS that has had absolutely no accident damage and on the other hand you're asking about one that's clearly had accident damage.

I'm starting to wonder just how genuine your enquiry really is.

I think that bike is on TRADEME, if you have access to that in the UK?
