Is anyone able to check on a vehicle I am looking at on trademe? worth a beer or two.

A VIR is 125 bucks and its an old vehicle so just a once over by someone with a bit of mechanical knowledge who recognises a lemon full of rust would be good

pm me if you can help

Thanks Alex

Do a quick PPSR search as well - you can do it with a reg or vin. See www.ppsr.govt.nz. Cost hardly anything.

Didn't know that - very handy. Would like to help out and check it out but have to be honest not feeling qualified enough

The VIR itself is only $25 and you can do it online. You're meaning the VIR as well as the whole big physical inspection that they do eh. I got a VIR online 2 days ago and I'm really glad I did.

yeah I meant the report that VTNZ do, like an AA check I suppose

so what came with the VIR that made you so happy? did it detect a lemon before you shelled out big bucks?

Yeah - it said that it was being used as "security" and also that the vinz no. that the security people had wasn't quite right. Still need to suss that part out but I'll prob still buy it on the cndtn that he pays off/clears the security thing. So it was worth doing I reckon.
