With the election coming up, I suggest that those of us concerned about high ACC levies on our motorbike regos should be contacting MPs/political parties and asking what they intend to do about it.

eg: Nick Smith (http://www.national.org.nz/PolicyAreas.aspx?S=198), Chris Hipkins (http://www.labour.org.nz/chrishipkins), etc.

Just remember that what they say they intend to do upon your request will not have any bearing on what they will do.

There's no votes in this. No politician of any persuasion is going to take a stand on it.

Hey Grol, don't let these fck wits discourage you mate, keep on keeping on.
Some on here have made a living attempting to drain the life out of those who are willing to take a stand.
Good on yer mate.

In the unlikely event I could even be bothered speaking to a polly I'd be more interested in Education, dragging our low wage economy upwards, affordable housing etc..... thats what fck wits seem to think is important.:innocent:

Are these people the same fuckwits? If so, I'm sure they're brave enough to face the insertion of a u.

Is this a new anti government party political poster or a genuine concerned KB biker?

If you are the latter, I agree, if you are the former ... !

Good on you, an excellent idea. Politicians react to noise and the more you make, the better your chance of being heard. Not shouting mind you, polite firm words.

Regrettably I think Hitcher is correct. ACC isn't an election issue. Furthermore ACC has just announced reduced levies for next year so most people are going to be happy.

Yer reduced for wage and salary earners, "Levies for the motor vehicle account, which has experienced greater difficulties, is unchanged"..Timing is interesting, just before an election.
