supercharged Norton (http://www.trademe.co.nz/Trade-Me-Motors/Motorbikes/Motorbikes/Classic-vintage/auction-30575190.htm)
Kinda interesting....dunno what Subaru has a supercharger, maybe it's an MR2 one...the intercooler is Subaru, but is doing nothing as it's just intake air.I expect the superblend main bearing rollers will be blending out crankshaft whip as designed. An 850 Norton with more bottom end grunt than an 850 Norton...is that a good thing?

Besides the 'Why the fuck would you', it's ugly.

Subaru do have a supercharged car, can't remember the name but it's one of the little 660cc jobs. The supercharger looks about that size.
This is an excellant example of not having a clue what you are doing or why but going ahead and doing it anyway, and that's apart from the stupidity of putting a supercharger on a Norton.

The air out of a supercharger can get pretty hot (not turbo hot of course) just because of the compression and turbulence.
"Gear box has been replaced" Gee , wonder why!
Is that the mag stuck above the primary chaincase ?
Dunno how long it would hang together before there was a BIG BANG, but it would be interesting to ride.
The SU carb was an , ah , interesting touch.

The blower is bolted to the head, straight on the intakes,so really doesn't need an ''intercooler'',the one on the side of the tank is just doing nothing except looking ugly.
The mag is hanging off the timing cover, just waiting for a lowside. The thingy on the primary case must be a step up drive for the blower.
The SU is a good choice for a blower, but 1 3/4in is kinda optimistic, although it'll never open fully so no harm done.
For all the negatives we can heap on it (me included) I like it - I'd like to have the parts and time lying around to do something just as stupid.

Considering Norton engines are a typical "Pom Bomb" 2 bearing crank & were a big enough grenade as it was without doing this. I'd wear chain mail undies if I was dumb enough to thrash that thing

"The thingy on the primary case must be a step up drive for the blower."
I think it's just a bearing block with a shaft through it to get the drive offset in to where it lines up with the supercharger drive. Looks kind of like something I have been thinking about. Just that little bit, nothing else, absolutley NOTHING else.

Saw the one from Ch-ch? at the March Hare about 4 - 5 years ago, looked good with a lot of thought out fabrication. Got a couple of pics of it somewhere.

Supercharged Subaru is the Vivio RX. 660cc shopping basket with 4wd and a blower.

It's clearly a Rootes-design blower. They deliver pulses as opposed to the Shorrock design but it looks professionally done.

Roots without the ''E''....justs because the Rootes TS3 used a Roots blower doesn't mean they own them.
