Sag set up?

Ok sue me, I was going to see Mr Shaun Harris, at his new business, and get him to check my Sag set up. But as bad luck would have it, his enterprise was still born. Is their anybody around, in the Auckland region, who can check and adjust my sag settings?

Thanks Robert. I have done it already, Just wanted a second opinion if I was right. But I will have a look at the vid tho.

bikes are like woman, cost you money and cause you headaches.
More importantly, If theres an issue with sagging, replace the fucking thing and get something a few years newer

Another question. Is there an easy way of making sure the front forks and triple trees are aligned with the chassis of the bike??

One way to make sure they _aren't_ would be to give it to Rhys to ride :wings:

Say without a jig, ya might be hard pressed to suss that one (there's an outfit in hams and i'm sure someone will come up with their name before it comes to me) Oooooo Oo Oo F1 engieneering i think it is

Cool. Thnks for that. Bike is brand new. I might talk to dealer. I have a pretty good eye, and I reckon the bars are slightly skewed to the right when riding in a straight line.

Could be something as simple as a wheel alignment ?

Is that a daytona 675 ? Clipons aint they ? If i remember from mine (sold now so cant look) they have a small bolt that locks them into place on the triple tree from underneith, ya checked they both there ?

Was thinkin to undo the top tree bolts onto the stauncheons to release any stress that might be there also, but because of that lil bolt, it might null and void that idea anyway maybe, possibly, unless someone put stress on the bars between doing the lower tree bolts up and then the top tree !
But not knowing for certain, i'd prefer to find out the hard way lol, i'd try jacking the bike up (yeah ok wont work with plastic belly lol) or strop from above, or even a front paddock stand, so the wheel is just touching the ground and release all the triple tree bolts And bar clamps so the stauncheons slide up and down.
Being carefull to set the same height sticking out the top, ya measured before hand and not over torqueing the triple tree and bar clamp bolts, when ya do em all back up (heard they can be over done and squash the stauncheon, thus effect the inner rods and seals movement)

Or take it to the shop and say put it right haha But then me being me, i'd prob go over it to make sure all the bolts were done up again anyway so may as well do it myself

If you think the triple clamps aren't in line (twisted), you can check with two sraight edges (aluminium extrusion is good). At least a meter long is good too. Place/secure (or get a mate to hold them) in a horizontal fashion, resting on the forks, as far apart vertically as possible. You can look down from above and quickly see if the two striaght edges are in line. This is an eyball check, but surprisingly accurate given the magnification of error by the length of the edges.

All of the above is way easier with the fairings off (presuming it has them?).

Something to go on perhaps though?

PDI doesn't mean much if a ham fisted numpty does it, you'd be surprised! That's a general comment, not in any way directed to anyone in particular.

Watched Roberts video and now need to find 2 mates :gob:, and some new springs (like I didn't know that). I saw Robert at Taupo track yesterday, he said there's more videos in the offing, so that could be interesting when they get done.
