Does anyone still wear the old style goggles with their open face helmets?? Apart from the vintage enthusiasts, I haven't seen them being worn.

I see them on trade me, used to be standard wear before full face helmets came into existance.

My setup was the open face, a scarf and goggles. The helmet had a domed loop at the back that the goggle strap used to pass through, so the strap didn't work up over the helmet.

I guess, sunnies look cooler these days.

I reckon if I had an old school cafe racer I'd rock this set up. I'd get cool vintage jacket as well. Of course I wouldn't be a vintage enthusiast cause they're crusty old men and I'd be too cool for that shit...

Shit I want a Thruxton :) Or a guzzi...or maybe a...

I wear glasses so would require some big fuck off goggles and I couldn't be bothered with that.

I used to ride in an old open faced helmet with scarf and goggles. I discovered that sharkie sunglasses (wrap-around) cut the wind in my eyes better than the goggles - and had better visibility - so I have never used them since. I still ride in a full-face with the visor open (usually) and sharkies ..

I had thought of getting a pair of goggles and using them with my open face helmet. Trouble is, re-living nostalgia, the memories are usually more pleasurable than the reality. I do remember the rain swept off the glass better than todays visors.

Saw a rider with goggles on an MX helmet, just didn;t suit the sportsbike he was on.

Always wore googles and open face till about two years ago. I was riding along singing Bob Dylans Jokerman at the top of my lungs and had a large bumblebee lodge in my throat. Bought a full face after that and will never go back. cant sing in it though, it fogs up the visor.

Yup, the googles (look it up) are for night and heavy rain.

I thought the Googles were for looking things up on the interwebs....
