Looks pretty neat, not sure how often you need a square hole though....

Here's (http://www.solidcam.com/cam-solutions/imachining.html) something that should be really useful though!

:gob: Oh... I didn't know how much I could drool...

Wonder if can think of a reason I need to drill a square hole... Runs off to make a square peg

As a side note... I think I need help

Dad used to have a drill that drilled square holes in wood about 40 years ago. It had a square shroud in a square shape that went around the drill bit. The shroud was more like a chisel and the drill bit only took away the cuttings and the centre of the hole.

That's called a Mortice Chisel and you can still buy them, FWIW.

That's pretty smart. Kinda reminds me of a rotary engine

I'd imagine a square hole wouldn't handle stress as well as a round one, no? See: Comet air disaster (metal fatigue).
