Been too long between drinks, have a think about it over the weekend and I will post up some dates next week. Triboy, we need to have chat over a beer or two, it's been a long time between meetings!
I'm talking about a social, shoot the shit sort of ride, not a macho "watch me climb this killer hill" sort of thing............. there's always the option of the "hold my beer and watch this"
cheers, hic

Went for a little wander yesterday. Travelled around the back roads. Churchill Rd, Otuiti, Matakitaki, Baker Rd. Had lunch, then hit the Te Akau coast road and Waikaretu. Fantastic roads, all at our front doorstep....Pukerewa and Ruakiwi road through to Waingaro, awesome! Nice stretch of metal roads...
Thanks to the Franklin District Council for leaving some of the Limestown Downs road unsealed:)
I know you guys know these roads, so you will have a blast!

Next saturday, 5th november, leaving Papakura Autobahn at 8.00am and heading vaquely towards Raglan and Kawhia. The main plan is to allow time for a leisurely lunch at (probably) the Raglan pub to tell lies and catch up with whoever is there.
I realise this is the weekend for Clint's camp and the gravel riders at Taupo but it's the only one that suits me so apologies to any affected. :innocent:
I just need to re-assemble the 640..........................

My tyres will be toast by then - but traction is way over rated anyway. I was going to buy tyres last week at Cycletreads 3 day sale, but my cat broke his leg on friday night and he cost 3 sets of tyres to fix. I should've reupholstered my seat in grey fur....Weather,work and pets permitting...
