It's Garmin's motorcycle specific GPS, so fine for gloves, and can detect when plugged into the MC cradle, altering the text input. One model back, the newest is the 660, but I'm still satisfied with the 550.

Mate, there ain't no rush. No Buy now, hasn't hit reserve etc...

Any one thinking of purchasing this GPS i can assure you they are very motorcycle friendly. Very popular
I have one, dropped it and had to send it back for repairs. Garmin do a replacment with a refurbished unit so you dont have to wait to have yours to be repaired, cost is around $450 so the asking price for this is very cheap. If i hadnt had mine replaced i would have been in.

I too have a zumo 550. We've covered over 50,000km together over three years. Its touch screen has recently developed an occasionally skitish urge. A replacement for $300 could be a go...

75,000km+ here, couple of bins with grass stuck between the cradle and the GPS, still going fine. I don't really want to even consider the 660... maybe I think a $300 550 is good too :shifty:

I have a 550 and they are a great piece of kit, what is the mounting issue that is causing you to sell it, I imported a mount from the states and it goes perfectly onto the top of the triple tree on the left side susp.
have you looked into any other ways to mount the unit?

Hi mate changed the handle bars and with the differnt pitch from the forks I could get the unit center where I wanted it. Didn't want the unit mounted out to the side.
