Must have had a bad nights sleep last night - woke up and had the sudden thought is there a Bike Valet Service available anywhere?? Would like to get the old bike done professionally once in while!
There are 6 bike shops within 3 kms from where I live and as far as I know none of them offer this service??
Is there anywhere and would anyone use the service if it was available??

I cant even convince the missus to let me get her car valet done, let alone a bike..
:s
Although I expect there might be a small business opportunity for someone who can do a valet, and remove scratches, dings, scorch marks on the pipes and stuff..

:shit:blasphemy!
I could NEVER let anyone touch my PhatGirl in that way :oi-grr:...a day spent in the shed washing, polishing and buffing etc is just another great part of biking to me.
...besides...what if they hit your pride and joy with a high pressure cleaner or steam cleaned it etc.:gob:
Just to big a risk for my liking, and its also a great way of checking everything on the bike is tip top (No...Not the icecream!)
....and imagine the cost! If its done right, it should take hours and lots of effort $$$$$$$
No Sir!.....no one touches my baby in that way except me!....altho the missis in a bikini giving her a light bubble bath ...ohhhh yes!!

Thanks Willy...
Actually, I just hate cleaning things to be perfectly honest.
Having said that, every so often I DO actually clean the bike. But I'm always glad when I've finished it and can go ride it some more. After which it is usually as dirty as before.
Anyway, at my age, I have to get in as much riding as I can before I cark it...can't be having with leaving an unwornout bike for the kids to inherit.

If my bike really needs a clean, I take it to Drunkenmistake, he is good at cleaning bikes, has the patience i lack.
His blowjobs and sammiches need work though.
If there WAS such a place, i might take it there on occaision, but not too regularly.
Surely you could talk to the car-valet places locally? Im sure theyve done bikes

Bring it down to Dunedin and ill give your bike the clean it never had.

As above haha,
I ride my bike daily and I try to give it a show room finish as often as possible,
If there was such a place, im pretty sure I would be managing it haha

Exactly! What a prick of a job too, cleaning someone elses bike! It is bad enough when you have to clean your own!

Put it on the seat! Mmmm, slidey!

My girls think the bike is cool for their old man,as they say to me "be nice we control the resthome you go into", lol and I'm not 50 YET,well next year, but the youngest daughters' partner looks with interest at the gixxer, when if he gets licence he might be given keys.

I thought about it briefly, as I actually like cleaning bikes. Also fitting/balancing tyres, touch-up paint bottles etc.

No way are my kids sticking me in any home - I'll run away first. Probably on the bike...
