Well, my boys are about ready for there 1st bike, so Im wanting to here from those that have been there done that.
I'd like to side steep the quad, altho ideal to learn on but Im thinking best get them straight into 2 wheels, as they balance well and ride the tanks on my bikes.
TTR50 style or is that to big? QA50 type maybe or will they out grow that to fast? any other ideas ya have for me?

Hey D, PW50 for the first bike, no question. Even then, the boy'll have to be big for his age to get both feet down.

Yup. Shaft drive too. Lowest seat height possible. Mint.
No good for wheelies though..................

That's as long as the pissed Dad's having been hogging the ride time.
Those frames don't cope well with excess baggage and big air.

Agree with Jimmy - PW50.
My boy turned 4 at the start of the month and can ride it by himself already.
Also - get them on to those wooden balance bikes. I'm sure the few days he spent on one helped with riding the PW.

+1 for a PW50. They also have a washer arrangement as a restrictor which is a good idea for beginning.

heres the reason I think they are getting ready for motive power... taken today blondie is 18 months and curley 33 months... bit of a false start here 2nd vid shows the full race, ohh and I do not incourage the wheelie what so ever

Im a retailer for Forza and Pitster Pro.
forza do a nice 70cc for $699 (http://www.overthetopadventures.co.nz/forza-and-pitsterpro-dirtbikes-and-quads/forza-fmx70/)and Pitster have the XJR 90 for $1199.00 (http://www.overthetopadventures.co.nz/forza-and-pitsterpro-dirtbikes-and-quads/pitster-pro-nothing-else-comes-close/xjr-90-kids-bike/)
Both bikes are high quality and beat the pants off Jap bikes for value for bucks.
Both have a 600mm seat height
