Since I rode that 8 Ball Turbo last week I've been hankering for a cool cruiser - so I bought one.

Still got my mountain bike, but this is excellent for burning some kilojoules on the cycleways around the estate.

Nah - back-pedal brakes. Got a decent 21 speed mountain bike for the radical shite. Busted the front wheel on it though, got some air and snapped three spokes. Just waiting on a new rim.

I'm not wearing lycra thanks. Ever. I have respec for my fellow man.
And what's with having to wear a top that looks like an advertising billboard for obscure European brands just to ride on the street.
I did buy a cool matte black helmet to go with it though.

Thankfully that's not compulsory for riding on the road. On the cruiser you need a t shirt and baggy shorts, even the helmet is a stretch it should really be a baseball cap and sunnies.
In theory you can never have too many pushbikes, although I am reducing the 5 in my garage down to 4, no point being silly....

Well HDC - it's coming together nicely.
Ape hangers installed and I fabricated a bracket to get the headlight up off the forks:

New lights installed and I'm waiting for a good cycle computer to come in at my bike shop - this one is junk:

It's taller than my KLR now, but the Doogle approves - he runs beside it for 5-10km every afternoon - and loves it.

This is all about getting some exercise in. I HAVE to do it, but it's far easier putting in on something cool and fun!

DT Swiss spokes for you matey. I've rebuilt and had a few wheels rebuilt with them. Once you've had them, nothing else compares.

Interesting, thanks.
But I already went to the cycle shop and said 'give me a wheel that will deal' - and I fitted this-un.

Typical.
He emigrates across the ditch and is now spending vast amounts on new bikes and bling!

Doogle's a nice wee doggie. Wunner if he's related to our 'part poodle'? His evil twin, or vice-versa?

getting back on track...... I have a few of this style of frame (the classic cantilever cruiser). This one is getting new running gear and suchlike. Also disc tabs. Maybe a Chris King headset.... basically just to use up some of the myriad of pushbike parts I have laying about the place.
