Looking at supersport bikes eg, CBRs, GSX's etc, which model would you prefer and why?

Eg with GSXF vs a GSXR, or a CBR600F vs a CBR600RR.

Ignoring the price difference, obviously the R models are slightly lighter and more powerful, with more agressive seating positions, would you prefer the supersport options as a daily and why?

Just wondering as I will be looking at some of these options when the time to upgrade happens, most likely a 600cc, and there are a wealth of options out there, even if you only consider the topspec models. So idly wondering if it's worth considering the "lower spec" models.

Sigh. I guess I'll go buy a Dodge Tomahawk then.

Buy the one that fits and suits you best. No normal rider can exploit the performance difference between say, the supersport bikes.

Ergonomics are slightly different for each bike, so suits different body sizes and shapes differently.

Wot 'e said.

I'd have loved to buy a Daytona 675 too but sitting on it convinced me that I'd never cope with the seat. The gixxer however...sitting on it was like clipping on a body suit. No contest.

Funny enough, but the Daytona seat is at least 2x more comfortable than my Suzuki.

If your bike just moves you from point A to point B the lower spec models might be worth a look.

If you want anything more from your bike then the R models are where it's at and plenty of people use them as dailys. Particularly the likes of the CBR and GSXR.

Go for the R if you want to do weekend fun rides and/or trackdays, otherwise get the base model.
