Ive been thinking abut a change for a while and want to be a cash buyer so that means selling mine :bye:
I kinda like the early 2000 z1000's, but I also like the new Tenere, of the aprillia pegasso trail.

Hey,
I'm looking for a new bike and was aiming at a 600cc but the zx9r is a really nice bike. I know it has had a problem with carb icing and suspension so I was wondering how yours is? also have you rejetted it for the new exhaust?
Cheers,
Matt

Hi Matt.
As far as I know the carb icing was a problem on Nz new bikes as I know a guy who had this problem, This bike was imported from the UK by the guy I bought it off and has no problems with carbs icing. As far as jetting goes the pipe was on the bike when I bought it and I assume its been jetted as it runs mint with the yoshi, but with the factory pipe on it has a bit of a flat spot down low. As far suspension goes I haven't heard of any problems with them. I have just put the factory shock back in it as I found the Hagon one too bouncy and hard in the back for the road, not that I have had the chance to put in on a track.

Gidday, Toppo1!
In a funny turn of events, I may be moving into a house that is some 30km from work and my wonderful wife actually suggested that buying a bike might be sensible to save fuel.
I stopped riding a couple of years back after a Learner driver demolished my zzr600.
So just out of interest I did a search for the bike i have always been in love with ... the zx-9r (in blue). Your post popped up.
It is probably well out of my price range, but I was just wondering if you were still selling the bike, and how much for. I suspect you wil have come to your senses, though, and realised that this is probably the most rideable speed machine ever made...I borrowed a friends of mine's for a weekend many years ago, and can remember it like it was yesterday everything else has been a let down since (including some late model 600's and even a honda CBR 1000)
My email is eddie.teamcoates@clear.net.nz
Cheers,
e
