It's been 2 and a half months but the CBR is running again!!! The fairing which was in pieces is now back together and looking better than when I got the bike and all the controls feel better than before, except the brakes, I'm a bit worried about them.

I'm all ready to get my restricted now!!!! :2thumbsup

Can anybody tell me what I have to do to get my restricted? I haven't a clue

All I had to do was ride around in front of a pajero, constantly checking my mirrors to see when he indicated and I was supposed to turn right or left into the next street as he indicated. He also got me to do emergency braking.
IIRC that was all.
Remember to clean your mirrors, it'll make seeing the indicators a lot easier.
And remember to look around lots for cars at intersections, even from the opposite side from where you're turning. That's one of the things the tester guy said I didn't do so well.

Hey dude. Are you going to be at the next vic club round? Don't forget your entry is due today!!!

Restricted is a piece of cake. I had some old lady follow me around. Just remember to take it easy (between 40-50 kph) and stop at stop signs.

The examininer will indicate about 10 seconds before the intersection where you have to turn.

They can test all sorts of things, like U turns, emergency braking and hazard identification but as long as you're a reasnoble rider you'll pass no sweat.

I've got some associates who are stupid enough not to stop at stop signs WHILE SITTING THEIR TESTS AND THEN WONDER WHY THEY FAIL. WTF? :weird: :weird: but if you've got half a brain, follow the road rules and go slow you'll be fine. Best policy is to stop at all intersections where you might be required to give way while sitting your test.

The examinier should give you fairly clear instructions.

on the bike: nice one!
on the test: don't show off ... don't fall off .. don't piss the examiner off

best of luck! :calm:

Not untill I get a fibreglass fairing. That should be fairly soon, but I'll miss out this round unfortunately. I need to get my restricted anyway
