Gotta give them credit, that's really clever...
When that guy on the Honda 150 hit some bump underwater, I thought for sure his engine was gonna be flooded and lo and behold, he kept on moving! Now I know why...

Shit I've never managed to seal my dirt bike air boxes well enough for that depth of water over such a long run - full credit to those guys.

What mods were done to make this work?
I saw the hose out of the exhaust pipe, anything else? Think they were pointing at something at the front as well?

Hoses to the airbox that took air from behind the screen. Smart

The ultimate in soft landings should you come off.
This just in: "Life jacket now mandatory for motorcycle riders in Bangkok".

Yeah, didn't that make your heart sink? Like "Oh crap, :wacko:he was doing so well... until now."
And then suddenly he started moving again. Then I saw the 1st hose and then it dawned on me...
Reminds me of the time I took my wife's little Suzuki Jimny 4WD for an errand. It started pouring down and the shortcut home was flooded. I said "To hell with it, this is a 4WD after all". So I revved the engine, eased into the water and kept the revs high to prevent water entering the exhaust. Lo and behold, no problem.
The light little jeep went through the water without any problems and no water entered the cabin. Near the deepest part, the jeep seemed to slow down and I couldn't figure out why until I realised that it was floating! I kept the wheels turning and "hydro-wheeled" myself to the other side where the wheels touched bottom and made it out of the water.
I remember mid-way through, there was a little guy on a motorcycle parked by the side taking shelter from the rain and staring at me incredulously throughout the whole time. I laugh now but I didn't tell my wife about it till after her beloved Jimny was sold and I know she'd laugh with me about it too...
