Just read this review in the Herald about this new BMW helmet coming soon.
It's bluetooth enabled so you can send/recieve calls from your mobile, also if you hook up a Bluetooth adapter to your iPod you can listen to the sounds as well.
I'd be pretty keen on on one of those.

There was something about this a little earlier in the year:

Good to see they're pushing it out there properly.

Damn, I only brought a new helmet recently. The idea of a bluetooth helmet sounds fabulous. I'm just curious about extra weight and battery life etc.
I wonder if the crumple zones are in any way affected. Being BMW you would think not. I think the helmets look cool. Very Modern. Great on a 2005 model bike, perhaps not on a GN250.

All they need now is a Bluetooth motorbike and we can stop all that tedious mucking about with handlebars. :weird:

No one's given a price yet. And if it's anything like BMW's pricing for their kevlar lid..................$2700.00!

Was just talking to the BMW man today (picking up some new trousers actually) and asked him about the System 5 pricing.
$950.00 for the helmet
$800.00 (extra) for the Bluetooth option.
BC.

Ludicrous pricing aside, I am surprised that there are no large-headed Germans.
