ok i'll bite
if a 2 stroke can idle up that wet little hill id say that its more likely they are useless riders rather than what type of engine they have. :tugger:

2 strokes sat waiting at the bottom, 4 strokes sat waiting at the top... but don't let the details ruin a good wind-up...

Its always good for a wind up but a pit bike with a good tire could have made it up there.

The 350's are nice Tony :).
Regarding the hill, my take is it's 90% rider, beyond that Yamaha 4/ are the best bikes for hill climbs ( YZ450F's ruling the roost ).

personally i thought this was funny KTM not the 1st one ive seen do this either.
But it all comes down to the rider given that wasn't really a hill more of a slight incline. Its all in how you attack it sit at the bottom and wait with no momentum odds are you'll struggle no matter what your on

I flew over to NZ a few years ago to race , was down in CHC , and set the wee cr up had brought all my suspension from Japan with me ...set up for japanese conditions, would it get up the wet hill would it FK , my suspension was way to firm, The engine had grunt , but the tyre would slip and pow all momentum lost ...
I learned ( ed that word mva fkr ) .... a lot ...
I would love to go on a trail ride on my enfield ...really would ...

Its not like the frame snapped in half or anything, looks more like poor maintainance

Had the similar thing happen to a friends KTM. Hit a tree head on and snapped the top triple clamp, then had to ride 10km back to the car.

yah reckon the tipple clamps top and bottom have snapped off leaving the bearings in place other maybe if they where loose i guess but its still ment to take one hell of a pounding given its the only part that holds the front end to the frame. not a hell of a lot a maintenance to do there other than bearings and that shouldn't cause that to happen.

poor casting , fatigue, movement Chinese involvement, she'll be right , all of which could cause that failure
interestingly enough , u said it wasn't the first time , which would ( one assumes) narrows it down to design , material or process....
either way, a scary endo .......
