I wonder if these are made in the same factory as the Drift HD cams

There appears to be some degree of wave motion in the image - normal for this camera?

Ahhh...shit! Never thought of that!

My ATC2K is really bad at that wavy image stuff - makes you seasick to watch...:puke:

Currently very tempted by the GoPro 960. Just need to find $280 lying on the side of the road...

according to the comments on youtube this due to it being mounted on the handlebars and camera moving with the handlebars over bumps. this can be overcame using the helmet mounts or the body velcro mounts that come with it

OK - thanks D3ALN.

When I had the ATC2K, the general thought in various forums was that V-Twin engines somehow interfered with those particular cameras and caused that wavy image. Just wondered about your one. Don't have a V-Twin any more anyway. Overall the ATC2K was far from satisfactory.

About the wobbly picture, google "rolling shutter" it applys particularly to low quality CMOS sensors used in some cameras though under the right conditions I believe you can make a good CMOS sensor based camera exhibit the effect too.

Transalper is right about the rolling shutter, it helps to record fast moving or action video at 60 frames per second instead of 30 frames per second.
It affects most CMOS cameras including my GoPro HD.
Had a look at what these camera look like by googling Gnarly Extreme HD119 images and you can get the same camera landed in NZ for about NZ$220 if bought of Ebay. (US$169.00 including free shipping)
