Should I sell it? What's it worth? VTR250

we have had a vtr250 for a few years that my boys have used to get to uni etc and general running about, its not getting used at the moment and the rego is on hold and the wof is out, i noticed today it has a weeping fork seal, its had new tyres, battery and new chain and sprockets the boys are off flatting next year so im undecided as to wether i should sell it or hang on to it, its done 41ks. Its not mint condition but is a good runner and is a honest bike, it has been crashed prior to me buying it bit not a major by the look of it, whats it worth as it is and with a wof n rego??

What year was the bike made? At a guess I'm going to say $2800, or $3200 if the fork seals are replaced. If it's a later model then you may get slightly more.

A friend just got one of these for a bargain, and the cheapest one we can find on trademe is $3000.

At $2800 it'll sell quick as with the leaking fork seal I would think.

Fix the seal (come on, it's not a big job, man up), and WOF it. Then put on trademe.

I have an 00 VTR250 in good nick. 36K on the clock. With good tyres and a fresh wof I'd be asking $3500. So $3000 ono sounds reasonable.

is it eligible for that Pro Lites class? take off the mirrors and tape up the speedo, lockwire the drainplug, go racing. (fix the forkseal first)
