For sure, been hanging out for a good trail ride.

Two years ago it was slippery with a bog, last year was hard and dusty. I would think it will be the same this year.

Only if its not as dusty as mangatangi was last weekend,

Mangatangi was OK but that dust... mind you they graded just about the whole track and if it had of been wet then half the punters would still be there. There were some nice off cambers.

Isn't the Bel Ray Rd2 on in the same area this Sunday? Which ever event if there is not significant rain this week then there will be dust.

Haha been a while since I've had something worthwhile to say... And a bloody long time since I've been on a proper ride!! So quite excited. I was hoping to borrow a 250 for the day but doesn't look like that's happening so will take the lil putter out with a big 4 SALE on the side and hope somebody takes it off my hands :D

Mangatangi was OK but that dust...

Mate I was with came off when losing sight of the track in that dust, broke his wrist. At hospital when they had him under and reset his wrist they found he had a dicky heart and needs surgery to repair it. So... without that dust he could be a dead man walking! God bless the dust.

Yeah did Mangatangi, Picked a guy up off the track with a busted wrist, was in alot of pain, got him off the track into a comfortable position, then found a marshall which did not take long, probably not the only on either. hope he is back on the bike soon. really looking forward to glen murray this weekend always one of my fav's.

I'd be suprised if the rain had any effect at this late stage. I think it will be hot, dry and dusty out there. Looking forward to it though, hanging out for a trail ride on dirt!

GM was awesome today, I did two laps in the morning, then had a nanna nap under a tent... Woken some what abruptly by my kids squirting me with a water bottle to do one more lap in the afternoon. Got the camera out for about 10 mins and thought bugger it, I'm riding today...

I think the Westpac heli was only visitng as a display for fundraising.... Saw a couple of decent offs by riders riding too fast for either the conditions or ability, but you get that on the big jobs,,,

Top effort organisers, still one of my 'must do' trailrides of the year... :Punk::woohoo::woohoo:
