Crikey, that's a very tough question for a Monday morning.
I'll have to get back to you on that. :shifty:

Hey Vifferman welcome back... how was your holiday?
Looks like you had fun quad biking.... good to see you didn't pull an Ozzy stunt and hurt yourself while doing so :)
You didn't miss too much... just the usual

Hey Vifferman welcome back... how was your holiday?
Apart from the usual family squabbles etc., really good, thanx.
Looks like you had fun quad biking.... good to see you didn't pull an Ozzy stunt and hurt yourself while doing so :)Yeah, quad biking was great! So much so, that I'm seriously consdiering seeling the VifFerraRi and buying some dirt bikes.
No, I'm in pretty good fettle, apart from tired calf muscles (skiing, tramping) and (uh-oh!!) a migraine that's just starting...

Ah... no reminding necessary, as apart from placidfemme, no-one knew I was going anywhere. It was supposed to be Wanaka, then National Park, then Melbourne, then the kids passport photos were rejected twice, so we canned everything, and less than two days before we were to leave, arranged new accommodation, flights, rental car, etc.
We spent one night at Lake Ohau, four in Queenstown, two in Christchurch, then home again.
We went driving (1550 km in Moby Dick), tramping, skiing, quad-biking, zooing, jet boating, and all that sort of thing. :Punk:

I just got back from staying at the Chataeu (or however you spell it...), and had the time of my life doing something more awesome than I could of imagined...
Snowboarding!
Now I NEED to go again... :weep:

Hmmm.... dunno that luck had much to do with it - just lotsa cash being thrown at it.
Had a go at snowboarding the year before last at Mt Hutt, so that I could be in the same class as one of my kids, and I very nearly had the hang of it after the first day. But after being a skiier for nearly 30 years, I decided I'd rather be swishing down the slopes than falling on my butt all the time, so I chucked it in and went back to skis.
I dunno though - even though I had a great time skiing this year, the snowmobiling last year and quads this year were just awesome.
Must check out some off-roaders and maybe put my bike on the market...

Welcome back Viffer. I don't believe you've missed much. Except for the fact that Spank is on the war path closing down threads for being in the wrong place or for being repeats, and neg repping people in the process (I really must increase my donations to this place), I had hot sex with a famous movie star last week and my grandfather came up with the chaos theory. One of these facts is B.S by the way.

...my grandfather came up with the chaos theory...
Your grandfather is/was a bastard. The chaos that he invented has infested our house.
One of my relatives invented the machine that made pins with heads on. Stupid f$#&er didn't patent it.:weird:
Doesn't matter though - if he had patented it, it would have ended up in my decrepit great-aunt's estate. My great-aunt inherited a lot of money from other wealthy relatives in the UK, and between the lawyer administering the estate, who put my aunty in a home that cost 5000 pounds /week (AND he charged a large fortune for administration), and the estate taxes, and my conniving auntie, none of the $1,000,000 or so that was left came my way. Half went to a mental uncle (insanity runs in my family), and half went to my conniving aunt, and her second husband squandered it. :whocares:

You should post em up in the Desktop pic thread! If they were the right size, I'd put some of em in my desktop.

Should I repost them in full size? I'm on so many forums (and fora) where the image size is restricted, I reduced them before posting them, to save getting a nasty message (and because people on dial-up get slacked off with pages that take forever to load).

The weather was generally crap
Stonechucker was discharged from hospital
Cage drivers' habits did not improve
Some people like cruisers
Some people like sportsbikes
And then there is the "third" sex -- teachers
Winja apparently lives in a house with a roof
The Fush reopened after its owners' holiday
Petrol is excessively priced
Interpretation of the road code is liberal
The Scottish Thread twitches
Bureaucracy can be persuaded that bikers' needs have merit
Some people left the gargre and went on holiday
Some people have difficulty differentiating between humour and just being a cunt

What? Good heavens (literally) You don't know the Scottish Thread - that which must not be named . But if Mr Hitcher's asleep (hang on, I'll stick a pin in him and see - yes he's either sound asleep or dead drunk ) , go to the Rave On forum, then to Pointless Drivel, then the Religious Ravings thread (sorry you can't get there direct. And posts don't show in New Posts) .
Longest Thread on the board , 220+ pages, and growing. Classifying it as Pointless Drivel is Mr Spankme's opinion, others would disagree. It delves more deeply into the really important things in life (and outside life) than any other . Which is hardly pointless or drivel. Anyway, go see for yourself. Lots of other good stuff in Pointless Drivel too, but most of it is pointless . Or drivel. Jolly good fun , but, and you meet a VERY good class of loony there.

...while you were away?
Nothing of any consequence.
Just the normal immortal post-adolescents insisting on their right to rightness in the face of an enduring record in Human history of juvenile immortals ignoring their elders and insisting on their right to hasten their own death.
Just the normal impenetrable replies to simple questions that a few equally impenetrable personalities insist on producing as evidence of their "uniqueness".
Oh, yeah. Hell froze over. Frosty and I agreed on stuff repeatedly.
I've come (please excuse the unavoidably crass pun that choice of word will invoke) to the conclusion that riding bikes is infinitely preferable to anything involving hormones and genitalia.
Work still sucks.
I'm not rich or famous.
Car drivers park in bike parks just to remind us that they really can't see us and their reluctance to acknowledge us isn't malicious, merely a stinging reminder that a litigous nanny state is just round the corner. Ergo, people having fun on a combustion engined two wheeled conveyance, even when commuting, can't possibly exist.
Bigotry, craven cowardice, and acts of random inexplicable violence are still perpetrated on the roads against innocent souls like Dave, who ask for nothing from life but a bit of fun with their mates, and a bit of help to find a soul to join him on his life journey. Thankfully, even desperately emotionally stunted people like motorcyclists can publicly express their love for a fellow traveller when needed.
It's all been a bit normal really.
Missed you.

I kept wanting to put my foot down.
Um... the most disconcerting part was getting used to no clutch, and the thumb throttle (but that to a lesser degree - we rode snowmobiles last year).
And the lack of vrrooooom.
Took a bit of adjusting getting used to a Yurpeen car again, after driving Moby Dick ("The Great White Whale"). Heh. Fuel consumption ranged from nearly 90lites/100km (3 mpg) to 0.2L/100km (1400 mpg).
