So only WINJA and a couple others allowed?

Actually most of the big guns around hea, keep it fairly quiet so we don't hear a lot from them. Even with only the quickest dudes gathered up, we are still going to have a decent sized pack for the ride.

It would be good to finally see what WINJA's got though. So if you are keen, come along matie! I'm only on a wee lil 4 hundy but I'm sure you'll be able to play with another GSXR1000... or 3!

For all others, I'll organise a "ride for all", soon! :)

Arrange details via PM or text, for the ride!

Cheers, MR. :nya:

Andrew who races with you tells me you :ride: like a Girl so You'll have to miss this one yourself

Oh really?? Why did I leave him behind for dead in Manfield then? That's only when it was dry though.

When it was wet, he smoked me cause he had wets in the rain and I just had normal proddy tires. The last time, I was riding at Manfield, I was riding at a walking pace cause I didn't want to crash (Yea right! Tui advert LOL) as I was selling the bike. There's also the bla bla bla (*makes* excuses Max Biagii styles ).

He got me in Pukekohe though, I'll give him that. He rides OK I guess, for a big dude his size!! (respect!)

Anywho, I'm sick of the track (for now, I'll make a come back lata...) Tell Andrew, I'll see him for the hill climb next March. That's where there's no run off area and is an organised event held in public roads... 200+ kmph blind corners with trees on each side to stop you if you happen veer off course. Sorts the men from the boys... or girls for that matter... I'll bring a dress along, just in case I get smoked! :D

Edit: I almost wana rush off home after reading that comment and fix up my GSXR for Round 4, next Saturday :D But after checking my bank account again, looks like I'll be missing this one... Unless the whole track was ice and I could race on bare rims like ice skates without buying tires and a few other expenses were to magically dissapear... lol

Yep he'll be there I'd say. He Won the open on a mates RSVR Aprilia & missed out by 1 10th of a second on his R6 from winning that as well . So will see ya there . Looking at taking my GSXR down to try & make it to the end as well may be abit slow tho as I'm not very fast anymore.
Good to see you took my Troll well  . Hope ya get your GSXR back on the track soon . :Punk:

Brother, can a man help it if his body is in hot demand?

Actually, it's looking increasingly like I will not be there. Severe lack of bank balance, having to buy a car for work and a distinct lack of front brake material after gluing myself to the back of Johns bike through Coro a couple of weeks back.

Bike's gotta come off the road after the track next friday for a paintjob and spruce up too.

Have a goody folks, I'll catch a later round of the 22 GP.

Important Update: The route I had originally planned for, has unfortunatly now been damaged by the heavy rain in the past few days with land slips, flooding etc.

The new route has now been changed to the other usual route, that we all did together the weekend before last. The ride will be a bit longer than before as well because of this change.

For any queries, txt or PM me.

Cheers, MR.

They were going ok-ish, I reckon a bit slower than normal - I could even keep up!!
Until MRs engine failed out. A damaged ignition lead meant 3 cylinders (at last, a chance to keep up!!), so MR and I turned back about 20kms shy of the Coromandle town, to head back. Kind of a shame really, but I had to be heading back around then myself.

Thanks heaps again MR for letting me tag along, I had a heap of fun :niceone:

well I know there's more than 2 quicker kber's.. and I don't even class myself as a fast cunt.. but still went. My bike was the second smallest cc bike there.. Just wouldn't have suited smaller cc bikes and lesser experienced riders. Plenty of rides for everyone, just this was for those who go a bit quicker, hence the first post ;)

Bit harder down here still have some of the best roads to blast on but get boring with the same guys . after awhile . Will just have to come up there & see what all the fuss is about . Hope I can ride as fast as all you ?

24th July 2005, 23:44
I started off OK, well the bike did anyway. Had new tires to play with and we had a nice tight pack. I took it real easy in the wet as I have promised to take a break from wet riding for a bit, till I get my mojo back. Anywho, we pitted into Kopu and refueled. After paying the brolly dollies, we exited the Kopu Mobil pit area and blasted towards the coastal roads, going clockwise around the loop. After going not even 20 Kms into the ride through the twisties, cylinder number 4 gave up. I was being a tad bit harsh by red lining me old lil bike but you do that just to keep up with 1000s even when they were riding in a modest manner.

So, I raised me hand as I came up to a stop, then me and BJ head back to the Kopu Mobil pit area and tried to figure out the problem. After taking the fuel tank off and everything, nothing seemed to be obviously wrong so I pretty much packed up for the day and accepted the DNF.

On the way back we just did Miranda - Hunua - Clevedon and back via Manukau.

I'm kinda kicking myself for not being able to do the whole Isle of Coromandle TT but oh well, there'll be next time (that's if I didn't drop a valve, which I am suspecting more and more now!).

BugJuice, there will be other times for KB rides where anyone can come, then there will be fast KB rides where faster KB riders come along with the medium paced guys as well. I know people, KB members and non KB members who prefer to ride in a tight pack of similar paced riders and who do not prefer to ride in big groups, which works well in a lot of ways so that's fully understandable. So just so that everyone was happy, I made sure only certain paced riders and only certain number of riders went on this ride as the other riders you saw today belong to a seperate group who don't go on KB rides. You would have seen a few KB riders go along to this today but unfortunatly most of them had some lame ass excusess like Loosebruce and his "oooh I don't have any brake pads so I can't ride" :baby: Then Whitetrash had some important clients to attend to or something... :buggerd: Ahem... Then Death had to go up north in his cage for some family stuff.:grouphug:

If anyone was wondering, everyone are home safe with no incidents or anything at all. They all had an awesome blast!! I just wish I didn't have a DNF! Poor me :`(

P.S. Thanx Heaps for riding back with me BJ and for all the help!! :) I am sure close to the end while going over some of the hills, my bike was running on 2 cylinders and making clunk clunk noices (thats why I think it's the valve :() so it was good to have you come along, just in case I needed any help. Cheers for letting me ride your bike too, It's a pretty beast that goes like fuken bullet! (I'd feel that after riding my half dead bike but still, that 636 has some grunt! Good brakes too!)

Anywho, enough of this B.S. I'll organise a KB "ride for all", next weekend if I didn't just manage to write off my CBR today with a blown motor (will find out during the week).

That wasn't us you went past WT! If it was, you would have known from the wobbles you'd be getting from our shock wave! :Pokey:

Sensie, it'd be cool as if you could come for a ride with us at some stage! :)

Time to watch Moto GP!! Till next time, see ya!

I started off OKTime to watch Moto GP!! Till next time, see ya!

Tut, tut old fella.... that DNF is gonna hurt Honda in the manufacturer's points table.

You need to be more careful next time. There is only a few more rounds left before the summer racing season starts.

I know you are in the points ranking with a good chance of a podium finish in the FC (fast cunts) class, but with the addition of WT to the Auckland Gixxer GP team you really have a hard road ahead of you if you wish to retain your lead.

I wish you the best of luck in any future races. I understand that F/F's next round of the 22GP will be held shortly where you will have a chance to compete again.

Good luck.

Honda are counting on you to keep them tops in the street stock division.

nah, no probs MR.. thanks for letting me join. I had a blast, still buzzin today! Tis a shame about the Cibber, but shit happens I guess.

I pretty much had to turn back probably after the coromandle town anyway, cos of time restraints on stuff.. so turning back then actually worked out well, cos that meant it was cool to take the detour and try to get a little more fun in.
And no worries on the ride - tis a pretty decent bike, huh? No you can see how crap a rider I really am!! But shhhhh, don't tell anyone that it's all the bike and not me...

Well, all I can say is that you have improved shit loads since the last time I rode with you. I was very impressed man, specially since your front tire was bald as fuck and still you were going at great pace in the wet. I wouldn't leave the tire change out for too much longer, if I was you though. And get some sticky rubber too, cause you'll need at the pace you were riding. Good one! :)

I'd personally recommend the Metzeler Sportec M1s for what you need. http://www.sporttour.com/tires/metzeler_sportec_m1.htm

were you on the gixer with the questionable tyres?
I'm crap with names and faces, I just ride!! I'll remember next time tho, I thought MR and myself were the only ones from KB!

and thanks again for the kind words MR.. that front tyre was meant to be a stop-gap and was hopefully going to last as long as the rear - fat chance!! I don't want to buy a brand new front, but can't afford a pair yet (and would sell the rear). I am saving for a bloody good pair for the summer tho, some roads really need a good rapin.. So I'll be on the hunt for the best combo then. I'll have a good look into those Metz (heard lots of good things about those), and give 'em a whirl.. And since the first time I rode with you (the thursday night meet, and you were on the RG150), I was still getting used to the bike and didn't know the road. Then the next one was your huge n00b ride, where I didn't really see much of ya. I think there was one or two other times, but not often. I guess last weekend was the best we've done ;) have to do a couple more when you're bike is sorted, or borrow a 6..
