"A Hamilton police patrol car has been involved in a minor crash in the city.
But neither the officer or the occupants of the second car were injured in the collision on Cobham Dr, near the intersection with Grey St, about 1.45pm.
A police northern communications spokesman said a stolen car was also recovered at the scene, but was not involved in the crash."
The actual clip in the newspaper states that "the driver put the car's lights on and began to do a U-turn when it was struck by a following vehicle." Seems he had spotted the stolen car going the other way and decided to chase it. Pity he didn't check for following traffic, eh.
Luckily it was NOT a bike that hit him...or the outcome might not have been so minor.
