I spent 10 minutes trying to find out this and unlike the CBR250/CBR250R/CBR250RR difference, I can't seem to find what the difference is between a GSX250 and a GSXR250 on google.

What is the difference? Is there even one?

Basically I think one is a multi and the other a twin.

The GSXR I believe is faster. The GSX is slower.......

Why a GSXR 250? Get your full and get a 400.
The GN's a good bike so keep saving and you will get a bigger better bike for about the same money.

The GSXR is a racier version, whereas the GSX(GSXF) is all standard and stuff.

Thats the one, the GSX is an air cooled parrallel twin, where as the GSXR is the water cooled inline 4.

the gsxr aint made anymore either. It was made to compete with the ZXR/CBR/FZR range but kinda failed from what i've heard. The GF (GSF) that i had was quite a decent bike... its faster than the GSX (new one) by about 5kmh. But it is water cooled four vs air cooled twin.

Personally i didnt like the GSXR as it looks to much like the early FZR which i think is :puke: sorry magua and any other early GSXR owners... and from what i heard they are kinda unreliable...

Might go with the bandit then, pity they're a bit of a pain to find in Auckland. Unless Colemans has sold them allready they should still have a gsx and gsxr so I can see the difference. Got 6 hours to kill due to an absurdly long break inbetween lectures so I might as well do something constructive.
