Sorry I dont know if this is the right forum, but worth a go,

Last Saturday 26/11 at 5am 60 Khyber Pass Rd my yellow Suzuki DR650 reg: 21WKR was stolen from a secure carpark.
We have security footage of the person and dont know how they got in but they ignored other parked cars and smashed the ignition and took the bike.
Also took a scooter from the vicinity but was opened up and left nearby.

The Suzuki was chased by police on Sunday 27/11 at around 9-10am in Onehunga vicinity Neilsen and Alfred st and failed to stop.
The person riding the bike had a proper jacket so might be reading this forum - just so you know havent been able to get the security footage to the police yet.

When it was stolen it had a topbox and flat rack. Seat was entirely black, had white hand protectors.

Locking tank so hoping it will run out of gas unless they want to do some real work.
Happy to pay a reward to get the bike back - or receive information to assist daves99@xtra.co.nz no questions asked.
I really liked that bike and took care of it.

Any information gratefully received.

I wanted to see if this worked,
http://www.police.govt.nz/stolen/vehicles
Good news is it does and your bike is listed.
Bad news is your bike is listed and therefore stolen. Bummer.

Still trying to get the video but technical difficulties

Police recovered bike executing a warrant on a rural property in West Auckland.
Also recovered another stolen car.

So they cut off the muffler, removed the baffles and welded it back on again. smashed ignition and engine lights.
Broken passenger peg, split magneto cover , missing other minor various bits and pieces

but lucky to get it back I guess, just expensive to fix stupid stuff.

I keep seeing these "bike stolen" threads on KB, but what has National done to stop this? The police know who the criminals are, yet are almost powerless to do anything about it. Fucking pathetic.

Vigilante justice is called for. Shit, that's a crime, isn't it?

Plus one on this

Grab a can of spray paint and mark the road and footpath outside the property "Thieves live here" or something similar with some big arrows - let everyone in neighbourhood know about these arseholes.

Couple of hints - spray enamel lasts MUCH longer than the fluoro dazzle, and you can get "upside down" cans of road marking paint that make writing your messages easier

A flier drop in their neighbourhood may be a good option. Warning the rest of the community could be considered a public service. And don't forget to stick to the facts.

You have to wait until they are convicted, otherwise it would be slander.

I call "politically-correct lily-livered BULLSHIT" on this

Maybe it would be slander - but that would have to be proven - it aint slander if its the truth.

And they would have to prove it was you that did it

Waiting 'till a court slaps them with the usual wet bus ticket - assuming they even get prosecuted - is a mugg's game.

Obviously it's not slander if it's fact. But it IS slander if they are found not guilty of the crime in court... Even if they did it.

And just so you know I'm not a PC cock. I suggest burning the guys house down, bad guys shouldn't have nice things. But then again, I assume his house is either rented or state housing.
