Rentals in Wellington?

Hi folks,

First - let me say what a great idea the mentor scheme is and I heartily thank the mentors for taking the time.

Now - my question. I'm currently overseas but will be back in NZ with the aim of getting my full licence (have 6L). As part of this I wish to rent a bike in Wellington but I've been seriously struggling to find a business with an internet site so I can make an inquiry.

Any tips?

There used to be a bike rental in Wellington but I think it is no longer in business. Could be because the owner was always out to lunch...

Do you want to rent a bike for the purpose of sitting a licence test, or perhaps for a longer period?

You're not kidding. Know someone who tried to pay several times and gave up. Always had that 'out to lunch' on the door.

Also tried to give that guy some lunch money but he wasn't interested in taking it

If you just want to sit your licence, perhaps you could do a day trip to another centre and sit it there?

I think Motomart in Lower Hutt may do rentals...at least they used to
