What classes to race in?

l get very buggered out there having bad athritis. l like the idea of the new class with my old super bike but dont like the idea about running it in with the superbikes rather have it with the pre 89 ( the same kind of pace ) then leaves it to my 400 witch will run with the f3 just got to find some new tires out the rubbish for it

Apparently you can. I was talking to a young chap today who was in F3 and mentioned I'd seen his bike out in Clubmans as well. He replied he was doing both, it wasn't a second rider on the same bike.

I wouldn't go relying on that though.

No, you can't race in Clubmans and race in another class on either the same bike or another one.

But it seems you can, even though you're not meant to be able to. I raced against the young fella in F3 (even had him crash in front of me) and he also turned out for Clubmans, which he confirmed when I was talking to him.

one would think you could as long as you did not exseed the 118 mark but always know you can't so dont know whats up with that

Because Clubman's is for folks who are just feeling their way into the sport or are on oddball bikes that don't really fit the class structure. If someone's raced in the main classes they must be feeling pretty comfortable and reasonably up to speed so why would they want to remain in Clubman's?

You were one of the guys saying the carb class was a great idea, best you support it or don't be suprised if it disappears.

I quite like the idea that the PMCC guys have come up with. Don't run separate races for Clubman's, just slot them into existing classes that suit their qualifying lap times. Everyone gets to race and everyone gets more tracktime: win win.

He was a young fella on an RGV. Seemed quite comfortable in F3 but not fast enough to be a thieving bastard. Could've been a different story in the dry, but I don't think so.

Nah, I've got no problem with Clubbies dipping a toe into a Formula class while they're still racing Clubman's, just to see how they go. Should be encouraged even, give all Clubbies say 2 free passes to try out a Formula class race before they make the jump and it might remove a bit of apprehension?

I'm not so keen on the idea of cross entry into Clubman's and another class though......unless I'm allowed to do it in which case it's all good! :niceone:
