Ha yea, but better cause it's a Suzuki

Not to put a damper on it,but I'd go for the GSXR600/750, in similar price range you look at low km k9-10 model and have similar engine reliability and possible better handling etc.

I agree and they feel much lighter than they actually are. Nicer riding position than my S3 too.

Nice to see Suzuki catch-up to the Kawasaki Z750 range.

If my Z750S exploded or was run over by a truck, I'd easily consider a GSR750 as a replacement. Certainly looks way better than the current Z's.

(But given the price, one of the various Bandit or Bandit-based models would be a strong option, too; or an FZ...).

We've got a demo to ride if anyone ever wants to see how they go. They're a blast to ride.

If I don't find something to replace my K6 thou soon Pete, I might just have to add a set of bars to one of those abm top yokes.

If I manage a good one it's usually just tin arse.
But seriously I rode three times last week and I'm really suffering.

Have a look at the Tuono in at Motorad..

Looked like a bloody nice bike, wouldn't mind taking one for a bit of a test ride at some stage.

Set me up a time and a place to take it out for a ride and I will give you an honest opinion on it.

I can sum it up against riding the er6, gladius and predator.

I can vouch for the grin factor of a Tuono & being over 6ft, there comfort. They encourage silliness.

I really like the "road" bikes that are coming out now from all the manufacturers, fun, comfortable & practical. But not FUN, though:eek:

...but once again, as with the GSR... that stoopid lightning bolt shaped bit of plastic would get removed.:niceone:

As for Ninja 650r's, have only heard good things, same for the ER6 strangely enough. I think they look good, have only ridden one briefly, so can't really comment. Another to take for a spin! (and if you want me to do it for you I could do with any excuse to ride this weekend)

Thats if I can get off the new Tiger :msn-wink:

Sounds good, so many to choose from!! The good point on the 650r is that it doesn't have a huge amount of power to get me in major trouble.

I had a 08 er6 and did 33k on it, was great alrounder and I learnt a lot from it. Awesome bike, couldn't have been happier with it.

My wife likes the look of them in black - but is it worth paying the extra rego every single year you own it over a 600cc?

Dean at Avon City Suzuki was kind enough to give me a brand new GSR 750 to test ride. 7 kms! I came away a bit disappointed. To me the budget brakes[adequate-never startling] and low rent suspension took a heap away from a fundamentally great bike. Power too was neutered, but adequate. Handled well on smooth tar, but lumpy on bumps and corrigations.Quick to turn in using those wide bars. Not a torque monster either and the long reach to the clutch was a pain[little hands!] Looked stunning in the blue. So, I do need to qualify that I dont ride nakeds[But have spent plenty of time on my motard] that Suzuki have missed a big opportunity here and by all reports a Triumph street triple[R] would be better. Just my opinion.

The difference in rego would make you pick a sub 600 bike? Ok.....
