That reminds me a bit of what it was like in the 1950's (in Lower Hutt) only no one wore helmets or safety gear then except the traffic cops!
The music style was Rock around the clock and haircuts were becoming expressive, I rode a BSA 500 single ... gee whiz! :ride:

My mum and dad are always talking about mod and rockers, dad had a bsa with a sidecar and a couple of triumphs. Reckons he used to sit in the bath with his new jeans on to get them looking right.:weird:

Prolly did. In those days jeans were real prone to shrinking in the first wash or 2, so you bought them loose, got them soaked and wore them until they dried. Then they fitted nice and tight...
