Apparently child porn is normal, and abuse of children was not considered bad until the '70's. Horrible stuff and very damning of the Catholic Church...

Is sad but true, knew a guy from school who was molested in a town, the family shifted and the bloody priest unbeknown to the family was part of the new parish they shifted to,made it interesting at school for him, sadly he took his life due to the shit, and the priest lived happily ever after, well he died at 70odd yrs, mate died at 25yrs,after 18yrs of guilt, amazing the crap convent education put into kids minds in late 60-70's.

To be fair, and I have to say I'm not usually this charitable to high church officials of any sort.....
It does take some courage to even speak about these issues as anything he says will be taken out of context and pulled to bits. Mainly because of all the cover ups these idiots thought they could get away with but - at least hes talking about it.
Personally I think its a bit feckin rich though. I don't belive in 'god' as such but I do belive in good and evil and whenever I see an organisation making 'rules' for people to live by and interpretting the 'word of god' for the common man as a basis for these rules I smell evil....

No I'm not offended....I don't practice anymore anyway....and frankly think that the majority of people who call themselves "Christians" are not to be trusted due to their two-faced hypocrisy and double standards.
The amount of people that turn a blind eye to abuse (sexual, physical, verbal, emotional and mental) going on around them and take the stance that it is none of my business kinda makes the society we live in very sad indeed....

So would child abuse include a father taking naked baths with his 6 year old daughter and "accidentally" allowing her to touch his penis on several occassions while she says "look daddy I am touching my vagina"....... I have been informed by said father that apparently lots of men do this and that it was very very funny at the time that she uses such proper anatomy words......
All I can say is eeeewwwwwwwwwwww

Depends on context.
But the way you have written it - nope - sounds very dodgy.
By context I mean having (say) two bathrooms and showers etc is still relatively 'new fangled' in the terms of human domestic living. When our kids (3 girls) were young in the 1980's we renovated old villas etc with 1 bath and no shower. The neighbours house was so untouched it still had a copper only for bathing and a zip for the kitchen hot water so sometimes sharing the bath was the only way (not when they were 6 though - more toddler age) but from memory I'd wear me budgie smugglers or boardies and hold up one of the twins while Vicki washed the other etc. Potentially thats still dodgy of course... but it was a solution to a common problem.

I'm not quite sure what your point is.
As the father of two (now adult) girls, it was my parental job to bath or shower them. Having them in the bath with me as babies was a fairly normal occurance, and as they grew older they would shower with me. I let them decide when they wanted to shower by themselves, which for both was a gradual process up until the age of around eight. They both enjoyed having dad wash their hair, and the one-on-one interaction time.
Natural curiosity was dealt with in a matter of fact way, without making a fuss about it - no big deal.
Those who view such interaction with revulsion are perhaps the ones who are perverted.

Correct. Unfortunately, they are too often in positions where they can 'do something about it'. To the lasting detriment of normal parents.

I bathed and showered with my children. And many fathers do as you say shower and bath with their children up to a certain age. However the issue I raised is not one of "accidental touching" once or twice due to natural curiosity but where the touching occurred on several occasions behind a locked bathroom door. So yeah I am repulsed by such a thing......
