Not in the best of taste, but neither was the Rainbow Warrior :motu:

News flash:

Jacques Chirac has officially raised the French terror alert from "Run" to "Hide". There are only two higher alert levels in France, which are "Surrender" and “Collaborate". The rise was precipitated by a recent fire which destroyed France's white flag factory - effectively crippling their military.

if their white flag factory had burned down they'd've escalated straight to "Collaborate"...

Why is the "Champs Elysees" lined with trees?

So the Nazi's could march in the shade...

You forget. To collaborate you must first make contact with the enemy. Which is difficult to ascertain when you're running away at high speed.

(Which is rather unfair on the French Army, who were in many cases very good and brave soldiers, lamentably let down by their High Command and politicans. But all's fair in love and war, and there was no final peace treaty after the Hundred Years War. So technically France and England have been at war ever since. or, rather , since the King of England is also King of France, the French have been rebelling against their rightful rulers ever since)
