The cloudy conditions made the lighting just perfect for great colour and highlight detail :).
The 600 racing was fantastic!

Beware, if you are on a slow link, this will take time to load - large file.

Jimmy J riding really fast, as always :).
As you can see, this sort of lighting is perfect (equipment and processing to handle high ISO noise is essential). Huge hi-res posters and signage demand this quality.

252412:) Thanks.
I was at a safe distance :), without the rider noticing - a 400mm telephoto lens on a full-frame sensor (Canon 5DMKII) helps deliver the amazing detail. I have 2 camera bodies and a wide range of lenses - I use the most appropriate combination for each type of shot :). I have been a photographer for over 30 years so today's equipment still amazes me. I still have all my old developing and darkroom equipment. I'm keeping it. I still like exploring my old negatives and transparencies with new processing technology. I've already scanned all my old film. I still love it but digital today is better.
An old B&W film photo of Barry Sheene attached :). Taken at Brands Hatch in 1983.

Just discovered I cannot change attachments on previous post. Anyway a few more oldies. Yes, That's me on Freddie Spencer's winning 500GP bike at Silverstone then Sheene at Mallory Park on a Yamaha - around 1982.

The quality of your pics amaze me mate, I know you may have the right gear but you still have to be in the right place to push the button etc. Awesome.
