Hey Guys,

Im wondering if any of you wear an XL qmoto jacket, and if so how does it fit compared to your textile jackets.

Ie, you wear and XL textile jacket but have a XXL qmoto leather?

Im looking at getting the qmoto and cant get to try one on, and just want to make sure it fits nice.

Thanks for the help

Simon

Ring Bret and get him to send you his required measurements. This way your Q Moto jacket will fit perfectly. Mine did/does and I'd not be without it in a coons age.
Or send him a message here on site.

I take a medium textile and a 40 Qmoto Vengeance is a snug fit. If you want to wear a proper back protector - you may need to go one size up.

Depends on how snug you want the fit. My jacket couldn't be any tighter, but I wouldn't want it any looser. With my off 2 weeks ago, the shoulder and elbow armour stayed in place and I received zero injuries. Not even a bruise or a scratch. It's good stuff.

I have to say I've had no problems with Bret and would use him again, he's been polite, and good to deal with. Unfortunately I won't be getting back on a bike again, so my loss.

haha it is duly noted - I have been reading the French vs Quasi threads :D

Who knows where the minotaur branded leathers come from?

JUST the frenchy vs quasi threads?
take a look
theres plenty more quasi threads.

Some have a great experience with him, but there are many who have quite bad ones.

Buy the gear, not the brand though, you want something that YOU feel right in. and where possible try it on BEFORE forking out cash

haha yea just seen the Frenchy ones - yea its hard being a tall odd shaped lad.. my current suit is ok but after each race meeting it needs more and more repairs and I think the mrs is getting over restitching it. all the seams are just falling apart.

I'll find somethin good sometime next year :) I'v just been told about Celtic as well which is sounding good, has Isle of Man pedigree :D

tis sound advice, I paid my bike transporter fees upfront and now almost 2 weeks later I'm still asking when it will be delivered and they still wont tell me.. pays to pay upon completion of said service not in advance :D keeps the service provider motivated ;)

Well it seems Quasi's mates on the inside have (again) acted on his behalf and consigned the Frenchy post to PD
(http://www.kiwibiker.co.nz/forums/showthread.php/144797-New-leathers.-BE-WARNED?p=1130212745#post1130212745)

Last time we had moderators providing details of Bling posts to him (http://www.kiwibiker.co.nz/forums/showthread.php/141617-See-rep-on-other-s-posts?p=1130147100#post1130147100) so he could email lies about the dispute to those who blinged me.
My court action, showed QMoto's actions against me to be illegal. But its OK for him to abuse me (http://www.kiwibiker.co.nz/forums/showthread.php/144797-New-leathers.-BE-WARNED?p=1130212250#post1130212250) and lie about what happened (http://www.kiwibiker.co.nz/forums/showthread.php/141617-See-rep-on-other-s-posts?p=1130148708#post1130148708)
In fact, I was just wondering why the moderators see fit to :

support a member who routinely flogs his products on this site via personal posts when most other firms have to pay for the privilege.
Allows him to slag off competitors (http://www.kiwibiker.co.nz/forums/showthread.php/67394-1Tonne-jackets-on-trademe) products as he sees fit.
Abuse specific members (usually customers) and the KB membership in general (http://www.kiwibiker.co.nz/forums/showthread.php/142246-Facebook?p=1130157687#post1130157687)
Issue reprimands and infractions to members who raise perfectly legitimate concerns that would be of legitimate interest to members.
What most members expect is a degree of fairness and understanding of what concerns bikers not the carte blanche support of certain characters with commercial interest and questionable business practices.

My only advice is to be well informed before choosing who to deal with. No need to dredge my experience, but do a thorough search on qmoto, 1tonne, celtic, and other brands as you see fit. KB will give you plenty of experiences and info that might provide you with enough info to narrow down your options.

If heard great things about celtic as well, and would think about going there if I wanted a dedicated race suit, though I would need a fair bit of improvement in my racing if i wanted to get that serious!!!

LMAO! Frenchy, You crack me up. Search through my posts to find one to red rep me on only cos i red'd you to keep your shit to one thread.

You're a crack up. Cock.

As for OP, Go to who you want to mate. Dont let other people tell you where to go. EVERYONE has at least 1 bad rep.

Keep this in mind: 1 bad dealing, Customer will tell 10 people. 1 good dealing Customer will tell 2. The more bad reps you hear, Divide 10. More good reps you hear, Divide 2. You will quickly know who is a good/bad sales.

Good luck finding gear mate.

I bought my jacket, pants, gloves and helmet off Quasi a year ago. I've been very happy with the quality, even got a good discount off the listed prices. :niceone:

I've only ever bought shite from Quasi that he didn't have in stock, and all that stuff arrived what I would consider promptly (i.e. promptly enough that I've been back rather than get it off shore which is saying something these days). Pricing was fine too.
