Hello,

Keen to visit two families I am friends with whom both live in Christchurch in the coming year or two (pending availability of funds). Glad to find this great forum to research places to ride and see your great country.

Shopping::
Having hosted some international guests here whom were riding around USA, I've learned how inexpensive things are here and want to extend the offer of shipping things to you in New Zealand. Our United States Postal Service (USPS) is quite inexpensive and I've helped save some of my kiwi contacts a lot of dollars. If there is something on eBay or from a USA seller that you seek and can now get them to ship to you in NZ, I'm glad to have things mailed to me in Montana then I will post them on to you in New Zealand.

Bike loan in USA:
I also have two 1999 KLR650's and a 2002 BMW r1150gs that I'm willing to consider loaning to visiting Kiwis here in USA. You can find good deals on airfare at www.kayak.com (making a saved search to email you alerts helps finds bargains).
I've had such a great time meeting people through www.ADVrider.com's tentspace thread (offering people tentspace or more for free) that I'd like to offer that too. Is there a sort of tentspace thread on this forum?

Ride safely,
Lance

We were in Montana just over three years ago, astride an FJR1300 we'd shipped across. I loved that state. It was the huckleberry season too, which helped our enjoyment.

We stopped and kicked tyres at the HD/Ducati dealership in Missoula. That's where I saw my first HD lava lamps -- in orange AND red!

Hi, and welcome. You are going to love it here, I don't think you will have too many problems with finding places to stay and people to help you out.Most kiwis are good bastards really.:yes:

Thanks for the kind comments. It is fun to help folks from across a pond (pick one) come over and tour around. If I can source a bike for you, or other goods from USA send me a PM (bikes, gear, tools, etc.).

A few contacts sure seem pleased with USA prices when I've sent things to them.
