Just scored a brand-new unopened full gasket set for my '63 Yamaha YG-1 for NZ$28 off E**y... :clap:
New year's resolution is to start the restoration of her.

Says to wifey "Look,.. she's only a wee 73cc bike,..will be an inexpensive restoration...." ;)
I should be a car salesman.....

Make sure you do a build thread of it and keep us up to date, ducatilover has done a great job with hos, with lots of pics and details. I love reading good build threads, it gets me motivated!!

I definitely will.

I'm going to rebuild her as a GYT-kitted YG-1...ie a cafe racer as they would have done in the '60s.... ie chrome expansion chamber, flat bars and flyscreen.
But also keeping her identity as a YG-1 for sure.
