By popular demand here is,

Waitaki Wednesday Night Wide.

Meet outside the Roost Cafe, 30 Thames st Oamaru, 5.30 pm for a 6,00 departure, every Wednesday.

This will be a social ride suitable for all riders and skill levels. It will tend to be a ride with a single meal-pub stop and a return ride to Oamaru. Regroup points will be sorted out during the ride.

I'm going to send the fast riders out in front. If there are any noobs I will bring the old side car and ride at the back with them.

I have also been talking to the local Ulysses about combining their monthly mid week ride and one that is on every Wednesday.

I am open to suggestions for the ride but so far;

1, Trotters loop- south on the coast road, down to Palmerston, north up Trotters george, up to the Moeraki pub for Dinner, return.

2, The irrigation loop, south, Maheno, Five forks, Duntroon pub for Dinner, return.

3, Fast run, north, Pukeuri, SH43 to Kurrow for dinner, SH82 to Ikawai, Glenavy, return.

4, 98tls loop, Oamaru, Western, Ngapara, Duntroon for dinner then Tokarahi, five forks, Maheno and back to Oamaru?

5, Help please?

6, Wet route, out to Kakanui cafe for a short ride and a meal etc.

If you know of any interesting places, eg collections of bikes or cars it would be great to organise a ride to visit these.

Best road to Duntroon is through Weston onto Ngpara and through to Duntroon, theres hardly a straight bit the whole way.

The coast road down to Waianakarua used to be a good run ... but the coastline beaches got a hammering ... apart from a diversion in one place, I think the rest is ok.

I have added the "98tls Loop" and the coast road to Waianakarua, a neet wee road.

If anybody is interested in seeing the NOIC 11,500 hp water pumps that pump irrigation water up the hill at 4,000 litres a second let me know. The pipeline starts at Blacks point on SH83.

We had 6 bikes turn up last week.

Just doing a wee ride this week, because the weather looks a little dodgy. Up the Aramoko stream valley and back down the Kakanui valley. I will drop into the Maheno pub for refreshments on the way back into town.
