Cheers to you all for the Birthday Greetings and pics - thanks Steve (x2- including Bart :) ) Brent, Dean, Mark and Craig (already acknowledged)
Had a great day - nice weather here in Wellington and in the Wairarapa where I spent Christmas with whanau
Gave myself a special pre birthday treat riding from Eketahuna to Wanganui & the racing at Cemetery Circuit yesterday. Had a ball on the little DR on the back country roads including Pahiatua Track.
Best wishes to you all for 2012 - hope to see you out there sometime soon - next one for me is the Dusty Butt.
As an aside - for DR riders among us - had pleasing results with my gas mileage yesterday. After initially disappointing increase in fuel consumption on removing the snorkel, opening the airbox, fitting a procircuit F4 can and a 170 main jet - fuel consumption increased by about one third. (Thanks for the tow into Ashurst - on a Takapari Rd ride MarkS ). On rejetting the main to a 155 (from Dynajet) got the same range from my IMS tank - almost 350km before reserve today - and the feeling of a more responsive DR. :soon:

I called into your place about lunch time today. Saw the KLR in bits, but no GPSMAN. I was tempted to chuck a couple of those tyres hanging on the wall in the back of my car but there was no room because of all the kids Chrissy presents. :innocent:

Thanks Woodman and Alane - hoping to renew acquaintances with both you fine fellows on the Dusty - Alane's right I'm another step closer to the mobility scooter - I guess this was brought home forcibly to me earlier this year on the Awakino Saddle Challenge Section where Rogson kindly helped me pick up my DR 5 times and on the 'Naki Liquifaction ride during this past winter where EddieB and others assisted me. As i head into the 2012 event I have asked myself how many more of these I might be able to do :2thumbsup
