Whangarei branch of Riding For The Disabled will hold a fund raising motorbike rally on
Sunday 8th January 2012.
Departing Barge Park at 10am prompt.
Riding to Dargaville, through the Waipoua forest for lunch at Opononi,
Back through Kaikohe and Twin Bridges.
There will be a BBQ and complimentary drink afterwards at the riding centre so entrants can meet the horses and volunteers and see where their money will be used.
Entry $20 per bike will include the BBQ and drink for riders and pillion.
Riding for the Disabled is a nationwide charity which provides therapy to disabled and injured children and adults through interaction with horses.
90 people are helped weekly at the Whangarei branch and your support for this important local facility will be greatly appreciated.

Any requirment to pre-register/pay, or just turn up with $20? And do we get to ride a horse?

Well ended up being about 25-30 bikes on the ride today.
Showers turned into one big torrential shower pretty much the entire way around which sucked but had a good time none the less :apumpin:

Glad you had a good if wet ride. Was all set to do this one but as there was no feedback if it was on or off ( regarding weather), and it was tipping down here this morning, thought better of it. Good cause tho

:yeah: what she said. Didn't fancy pulling on wet leathers at 0730 to ride north for no reason. If there's a simple way to still donate my $20 for the kids then happy to do that.
