Ok folks, many will know I am living on time and only God knows my last day here.
I decided to have a pre 50th and living wake piss up at Hawera on 25 Feb 2012.At this stage venue to be found but will possibly be at Furlong Motor Inn,they have good comfy rooms(27 or so)and restaurant on site etc, will be in a seperate bar rather than sharing with other patrons.
There is a lot of accomodation options in town and taxi would be $10 approx from most motels, also a campground.
My idea is a ride from you place to here, maybe pick up people along the way, once in Hawera I thought of heading to New Plymouth to see my mates museum with moto cross bikes as in Kiwirider mag last month. And then back to Hawera, this all depends on time.
This is open to any kiwibiker, whether known or not to share a drink or plenty, will be cash bar after bar tab runs out and hoping to organise finger food, will start about 8pm so people can shower grab tea(heaps of cafes for meals)or stay at Furlong for feed.:woohoo:

At this stage have to confirm venue, but Furlong is first choice,as has all we need onsite for piss up from hell lol, date is fixed though, man am looking towards this,is that sick or what, fucked if I know, but I am,cheers guys.
Alistair has seen the article in kiwirider on my mate with museum and if we can do trip there I will attempt to get us in,depends on time people arrive, only 70km from Hawera to New Plymouth,so am allowing 3-4hours from Hawera to do tour and back to accomodation, any guys from north heading south we can hook up in New Plymouth.

Bloody arseholes, got an email tonight saying as they have a large group staying they require the bar for food for a large group and restaurant is too small(yeah right),what a friggin pain in the arse.
Seems I now have to find an alternative venue, which have started in earnest.
Am looking to the Racecourse which is accross the road from the pub, another option is a bar with upstairs lounge and also my old soccer club which is ideal.
Will organise and let you know outcome.

No don't think so,there is a shut down at Ballance in Kapuni starting Tue7th till 28th as my brother is coming up for it,asked when booking venue if accomodation was available but told they were booked out all Feb.At least when Brian and Billy Hayter had the place you had no issues with bookings, hell I helped the Hayters when the build was started, well as teenagers we thought we were helping hehe, climbing the rafters during build, picking up bricks, timber etc with Brians sons,we even used to drive to the pub and only lived accross the road back in the 80's lol.

Hey you lovely thing. I went to our Team Captains meeting last night, how exciting!
I am very happy to say at this stage the L's Angels have raised almost $800 for The Cancer Society so far :D
I have the team Relay T-shirts and we are almost all ready for Saturday. I think the weather will be playing ball for us.
Hope you are having a wonderful time in the South Island. Stay close to your PC on Saturday night, we have technology available and I am certain there will be live updates from Relay for you to see.

I know Tony would have been ROFLHAO at this...
I always read the death notices (as you do) and this morning's paper tells me that Anthony Mills 'a friend to all' has died. I thought to myself "Twice in one year? That is extraordinarily bad luck."
Tony - you were a mate and I think of you often. Not forgotten.
