there is nothing wrong with this bike, I actualy love riding it... the partner finds the rear accomodation very comfortable over distances, it gives good kpl if ridden 'sensibly'..... BUT.... I simply dont use the full power available, in top gear its doing 150kph+ before the motor reaches it's full power delivery start point (6000rpm). I have missed the 'low down grunt' of the FJ and big twins I owned before. I have gone back to a 'big twin' and I am loving it.
The decision was to either sell now or keep it another 2 years when with around 90-100,000 km's it will be almost worthless.
It is in pretty reasonable condition, the 'only obvious mar'? is the usual issue with the front fender which has broken at the weak points that are well known'.. I will aquire a good condition one to go with the bike when sold. It has had the front brakes modified (double hose and wavey rotors, VFR1000 master cylinder & clutch cylinder. 'big mouth' ram air intake, bar risers, touring screen (original to come with the bike) and a set of staintune mufflers (not fitted) I had a new rear tyre fitted about 1000km's ago, a bridgestone 'high load' touring tyre. the picture attached is about 8 months old and is a fair indication of condition, it may be a bit 'dirtier' at present as it's used every day, but will soon 'scrub up' pretty good. currently rego'd and WOF'd.
I have not advertised on tardme yet, serious enquiries welcome... test rides WILL be 'accompanied' if I feel the need.

$4750 ovno

These bikes are the shizz IMHO. My old D1 is now on the short list of bikes I should never have parted with. Good luck with the sale, although the price is very reasonable so you shouldn't need much (luck).

Just stumbled across this thread & it rang a few bells! I have a 1994 ZZR1100 which has also nearly been around the clock. I am afraid I have no intention of selling it, but you are right about the massive top speed, and mine is also very economical when ridden alongside ordinary bikes at ordinary speeds.

The other odd thing i notice is that you own a Spyder. I don't, but a guy I ride with frequently does!
Have a look at my site & I have no idea why you would want to sell one of these bikes. The local Kawasaki agent says even now they never come in for servicing, and even the local Honda agent (get that!) reckons they were over designed!

Go well friend!

I'll give you a ZX6, GN300 and a 60w soldering iron for it
