Such a sweet road now that the metal bit in the middle has been straightened out and sealed....but oh, I'm just making it more popular now

Gentle Annie is a side creek in the Kawarau Gorge, near Queenstown. Further into the gorge is Roaring Meg Creek which has a power station. Both creeks were named by miners in the 1860s after a couple of Arrowtown bar maids.
Somehow - and this is pure speculation - I don't think the OP is referring to the Gentle Annie I know....??

If there aren't laws about pedantic Southlanders, there should be.

Everyone knows that Annie and Meg were good time girls...they got around.
Roaring Meg is (or at least was) a ford on road into the Otaki Gorge too...

Roaring Meg is also a second label Pinot Noir from Mt Difficulty. It's wet as well...

I merely strive on a holy quest for accuracy. :D

Ah well, that's because the NW face of Mount Difficulty faces Roaring Meg which itself rises on the south end of the Pisa Range: bit cheeky of them given the creek isn't even on the mountain. :nono: Perusing my trusty Lands and Survey topographical map S133 I note they could have named the pinot Slapjack Saddle which has a certain je n'est ce quoi. Or not.
As youse were. My work is done. The BDOTGNZA rides again...

Just ride through with your preload wound right back so you are dragging your subframe on your tyre and bungy a subwoofer to the back. Wear a bandana under your helmet or hoodie over the top and you'll be sweet as bro!
